Early Years Manager

Location: Royston, Glasgow

Salary:      £26,210

Hours:      35 per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and self-motivated Early Years Manager to join our team at Rosemount Lifelong Learning.

Rosemount Lifelong Learning has been delivering quality childcare for the benefit of local children living in the North East of Glasgow for 20 years.  Our focus is on providing a nurturing environment for children aged between 6 months and 5 years to allow parents the opportunity to take part in learning or employment.

The Early Years Manager is a full time position and a key role within our organisation ensuring that our childcare service provides an affordable, well run, quality provision to local families.

The Early Years Manager will provide ongoing support and management for the childcare team and demonstrate reliability, flexibility and enthusiasm for the role. This role will require excellent knowledge of Pre-Birth to Three, The Curriculum for Excellence, GIRFEC, Building the Ambition and all other relevant regulatory documents.

Family Relationship Counsellor

Salary: £25,431 pro-rata

Location: Royston, Glasgow

Hours:  28hrs per week

Role: The post holder will be required to provide counselling to children, YP and families who have experienced the impact of parental substance misuse. To support families to develop positive coping strategies, work through issues in relation to separation, recovery and loss. They will be required to deliver training/awareness raising sessions to the staff team.

Qualified to Diploma level (or equivalent) in a counselling therapeutic discipline, a member of a recognised professional body (e.g. BACP, COSCA) and have minimum 2 years’ experience of providing direct counselling and Experience of counselling families and individuals with complex needs.

Three year funded post, funded by Corra Foundation and The Volant Charitable Trust, pending satisfactory performance and monitoring.

The post holder will work carry out comprehensive assessment of need and risk assessment in partnership with families and relevant agencies. Contributing to the development of the wider Family Links service, the post holder will ensure that children, young people and their families are consulted throughout the duration of the service and their views, opinions and needs are promoted. To work as part of a team and participate in internal training and team development activities at Rosemount Lifelong Learning.

Childcare Assistants/Bank staff

Salary: £8.45 per hour Location: Glasgow

Hours: Part time & Casual

Salary scale: £8.45 per hour

Brief Description: We are seeking enthusiastic Childcare Assistants to work within our Early Years service. We are looking for reliable, caring individuals who are good communicators and able to work well within a team. You will have experience of caring for children, be studying for a childcare qualification or currently working within a childcare setting and looking for additional hours. Bank staff will be required to work on a flexible basis to cover for staff absences and may be required to work at short notice.

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made.
