Post:  Volunteer Support Worker – Glasgow North East

Accountable to: Manager Positive Family Futures

Location: Based in Royston, North East Glasgow

Contract:  £22,265 (pro rata) funded post to 2021 – 17.5 hours per week.

Role:

We are seeking to recruit a new team member to support the delivery of our new Positive Family Futures programme – an innovative project that provides an opportunity to join up a range of services for families and individuals within them living in the NE Glasgow communities. The aim of the project is to encourage participants to make positive changes within their own lives and become co-producers of the services.

We are looking for a part time Volunteer Support Worker who will establish and support a service user involvement group as well as identifying and encouraging individuals to take up relevant volunteering opportunities.

Job Title:  Finance Manager

Accountable to: Chief Executive

Location: Based in Royston, North East Glasgow

Contract:  £32,612 (pro rata) 25 hours

Role

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Finance Manager to ensure that our finances are well managed and meet statutory requirements. Working as part of our management team, this role will include responsibility for developing and maintaining financial systems, budget setting, expenditure control and monitoring over a range of programmes.

Childcare Assistants/Bank staff

Salary: £8.45 per hour Location: Glasgow

Hours: Part time & Casual

Salary scale: £8.45 per hour

Brief Description: We are seeking enthusiastic Childcare Assistants to work within our Early Years service. We are looking for reliable, caring individuals who are good communicators and able to work well within a team. You will have experience of caring for children, be studying for a childcare qualification or currently working within a childcare setting and looking for additional hours. Bank staff will be required to work on a flexible basis to cover for staff absences and may be required to work at short notice.

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made.

Rosemount Lifelong Learning – Board of Directors

Rosemount Lifelong Learning’s mission is to increase life chances through learning for children, young people and adults living in Royston and North Glasgow area.

Our aim is to:

  • Provide a range of services tailored to meet individual needs for children, families and adults
  • Support individuals to make a difference to their lives by building confidence, increasing aspirations and developing skills
  • Engage with the community to shape and develop our services
  • Build on a partnership approach to achieve the best results for people using our services

Rosemount is well established in the Royston community and provides a range of learning and employability focused activities as well as family support services. These include our Young Parents project and our Family links programme that supports families affected by addiction.

Our services encourage participants, from children to adults to raise aspirations, develop confidence and life skills and ensure that their progression routes are sustainable.

We are looking to add new volunteer members to our Board of Directors. In particular we wish to recruit members who have strategic level experience in the following areas:

  • Equality and Diversity
  • IT
  • Law
