Our support during Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We know that these are very challenging and difficult times and many of us are worried about many different things from work and losing jobs, keeping our children busy and our learning being put on hold.

At Rosemount we have been busy working on ways to support our Royston community and we have now put processes and support in place for you to access.

We want to make sure families and individuals are supported through the effects of the pandemic.

Our website covers the support available during this pandemic from our employability support with live jobs, young parents project , oral health project, positive families project as well as learning from home and literacy. During the pandemic Rosemount Lifelong Learning had been delivering activity packs to families in the North East. Our families have been missing our learning and events space classes, events and activities however have been enjoying the activity packs at home whilst staying safe.

“Me and the kids really enjoyed the activity packs, they were always excited to see what the different activities were. They particularly enjoyed the picnic/gardening and the board games packs. Their granddad is right into his gardening so they got a chance to be with him out in the garden doing their own thing without having to ask for his help.

With the games one we have had quite a few of wee games nights (they kids are so competitive) so it was good to just have that wee bit of fun and bonding when some of the time at home had been very stressful. They kids also enjoyed the walk down to the centre to pick them up because they usually seen familiar faces and got to speak to someone that wasn’t me!  “
